i actually agree about islam sucks! many of my favorite shows contain reviews by him, and he's actually got a good ear for the music if you look at some of his reviews. whether he's a douchenozzle or not is irrelevant in critiquing his reviews.

You have got to be kidding. It is all well to give credit where credit is due.

For example, it could be easily stated :
“Right on Tell – this show will forever be worth mentioning, listening to… and so on and so forth”

Now I’m not saying that anyone should care what I think but you guys implying some sort of validity to the “commentary” you point to has me questioning your sense of reason.

I don't remember reviewers unless they are current forum users or they keep popping up on shows, and sources of those shows, that I pick. Hunt & om just show up enough, and are interesting enough, for me to remember their handle. However, to find a particular scintillating review by them is wasting time.

The music is what suffices, and all hail to those here that point the way!
Past advice to me from you has been along the lines of ‘don’t be afraid to speak your mind.’
Hence: just because someone keeps popping up doesn’t make them noteworthy or interesting, and I often find their posts prove quite the contrary. (Like you say – a waste of time.)

No disrespect meant to you or rd. Being able to participate in this forum was no small step for me, and it has since been dear to me. I have found that learning which posters to ignore makes it much more digestible. For me it has been an acquired taste, and one that certainly must serve each member in an individual way. Anyhow, peace be with you. I have moved on:

Lord, no disrespect taken at all v.

This is more an off line conversation, but you have shared that before w/me. Whatever policy sees you through. high flow has a whole charting system for handles he ignores. (I think you commented on that thread if I remember.)

>and it has since been dear to me.

I'm right there with you.

What about Capn Doubledose? Or, Dr. Flashback?
The Dr. actually showed up here on the forum about a month ago or so. He made one post and disappeared again. Perhaps, he was in the midst of one and didn't realize it was the Forum, "Dammit, why do they keep changing the format for entering reviews? Dammit, Jim. I'm a doctor, not Konrad Zuse!!"

I wasn't kidding, but I am questioning myself now that I've looked back at his so-called reviews. I remember a lot of my favorite shows ever, had reviews by him. I guess I picked up on that and figured he must have similar musical tastes to me when it comes to the GD. However I now see he's "reviewed" over 300 shows! Most of them, not even reviews as you all know.

I remember a couple reviews that had some significance but I can't find them now among all the other crap he posted.

Hey, wait a minute...did someone actually say that?

Funny...

;)

Hope all's well, D!
